Although not the first study of its kind, the 2013 study from Kansas State Assistant Professor Sonya Britt correlates fighting about money with decreased marital satisfaction, which she ties to an increased likelihood of divorce.

Glow-in-the-dark 5K | Temecula, CARegistration for the Temecula leg of the Rock-N-Glow 5k starts on December 7. The Rock-N-Glow is a unique nighttime 3.1-mile race featuring glow-in-the-dark gear and music.

Unlike many races, the five-kilometer Rock-N-Glow is not timed, and there are periodic stations with music and dancing. The event is not just for runners; walkers are also welcome to participate, although they are asked to start at the back of the line. Strollers are also allowed. [Read more…]

A recent article from The New York Times reports that “gray divorces,” or divorces that occur among those aged 50 and older, are on the rise. Today, more Americans over 50 are divorced than widowed: “In 2011, according to the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, 15.4 percent were divorced and another 2.1 percent were separated. We Remember (Fine Arts Ballet Theater)

Hemet, CA BalletThe arts community in the Temecula Valley honors service members with a special tribute on Sunday, November 10th at 2:00 p.m. The Fine Arts Ballet Theater presents its inaugural event, “We Remember,” as “A patriotic tribute to those who have served and are currently serving this country.”

Not your average community theater production of Swan Lake, this ballet serves to highlight the sacrifice in the name of country that military service members perform daily. The Old Town Temecula Community Theater hosts the ballet for Hemet and the surrounding areas. More collaborative dance troupe than traditional ballet company, the Fine Arts Ballet Theater provides space for ballet rehearsal and performances to professional dancers in Hemet and the Greater Temecula Valley.  In addition to hosting professional performance space, daily classes are available to anyone over eighteen years old.  [Read more…]
